# How to Communicate with Your Affiliates in UpPromote

Good communication keeps affiliates active and motivated. When affiliates feel supported, they promote more and stay with your program longer.

UpPromote gives you two main ways to reach them: **email** and **in-app chat**. You can send automatic emails for key moments, message everyone at once, or chat with an affiliate one on one.

### Email your affiliates

Email is the main way to keep affiliates informed, from a welcome message to a payout update. You manage all of it under **Outreach** > **Affiliate communication** > **Manage emails**.

Sometimes a quick chat is faster than email. In-app chat lets you talk with affiliates without leaving UpPromote.

#### How do I email all my affiliates at once?

Use bulk email. You write one message and send it to the affiliates you choose, which is handy for announcements and promotions.

#### Can I send emails from my own address?

Yes, on the Professional plan and above. See Use your own email as the sender. On other plans, emails are sent from UpPromote's address.

#### Which features need a paid plan?
