# Referral review limits (Approve/Deny referral orders)

**Referral review** lets you **approve/deny** referral orders in the **Referrals** section.

Starting from **June 03, 2025**, UpPromote applies different referral review limits depending on when you first installed the app.

### 1. New merchants (installed on/after June 03, 2025)

#### Referral review limits by plan

* Free: up to 200 referral orders/month
* Growth: Unlimited referral review
* Professional: Unlimited referral review
* Enterprise: Unlimited referral review

**Unlimited referral review** means you can **approve/deny without a monthly cap**. Your review actions won’t be blocked due to exceeding a monthly quota.

### 1. Existing merchants (installed before June 03, 2025) - Legacy policy

If you installed UpPromote **before June 03, 2025**, your store will continue using the legacy referral review limits below:

* Free: up to 200 referral orders/month
* Growth: up to 300 referral orders/month
* Professional: up to 600 referral orders/month
* Enterprise: Unlimited referral review

### 3. What happens when you exceed the limit?

When you exceed your plan’s monthly referral review limit (applies to **Free** and/or the **Legacy policy**):

* Referral orders are still tracked and recorded in the system.
* However, referral orders beyond the limit will have **review actions locked** (you can’t approve/deny them), and it will display the badge "**Upgrade to review**".<img src="/files/RlTr1EUm5Fcv6vr6TILJ" alt="" data-size="original">
* Monthly quotas reset each month, but previously locked referrals won’t automatically unlock in the next month.\
  In other words, even if you have available quota in a new month, referral orders that were locked in a previous month may remain locked unless they’re unlocked by an eligible plan change (for example, upgrading your plan based on your store’s current policy).

### 4. Referral types that are NOT counted toward the limit

The following referral types **are not counted** toward your monthly referral review limit:

* Manually added/Manually imported
* Performance bonus/Recruitment bonus
* Refund
* Network referral

### 5. FAQ

#### 5.1 Why do I still see a referral review limit in my account?

Referral review limits depend on **when you first installed UpPromote**.

* If you’re an **existing merchant** (installed before June 03, 2025), your store follows the **Legacy policy**, so Growth/Pro still have monthly limits (300/600).
* If you’re a **new merchant** (installed on/after June 03, 2025), Growth/Pro/Enterprise have **Unlimited referral review**.

#### 5.2 Can I unlock referrals showing “Upgrade to review”?

You can u**pgrade to a higher plan** (based on your store’s current policy) to increase your quota.
