See also the [Pricing and plan details](/pricing-plans/pricing-details.md). ### How UpPromote works UpPromote runs your affiliate program in five stages, from setup to payout. #### Stage 1: Set up your program UpPromote creates a default program and sign-up form when you install the app. You can use them as-is or customize them. Here's what you can set up: * Commission rules (flat rate, percentage, per-product, tiered, or lifetime) * A branded affiliate registration form * Email templates for your affiliates * A payment method (manual or PayPal auto-payout) #### Stage 2: Recruit affiliates Share your sign-up link to start getting affiliates. UpPromote gives you four ways to grow your affiliate base: * Sign-up link: share it by email, on social media, or embed it on your site * Post-purchase popup: invite customers to become affiliates right after they buy * UpPromote Marketplace: list your program to reach ready-to-promote affiliates (Growth plan and above) * MLM / Network recruiting: let affiliates recruit others into your program (Professional plan and above) UpPromote alerts you when someone applies. You approve or decline from your dashboard. You can also auto-approve affiliates if you prefer. #### Stage 3: Affiliates promote Each approved affiliate gets access to: * A unique tracking link that UpPromote creates for them * A coupon code, if you choose to assign one * Your Media Gallery of banners, images, and assets you upload #### Stage 4: Track referrals A customer clicks an affiliate link and places an order. You have two ways to pay: * Manual payout: works on all plans. Pay affiliates whenever you're ready. * PayPal auto-payout: Growth plan and above. UpPromote sends payments on your schedule. {% hint style="success" %} **Good to know:** Paid plans charge a performance fee on referral sales. The fee is 2% on Growth, 1.5% on Professional, and 1% on Enterprise. This is on top of your monthly cost.
