We’re excited to announce the release of new **Analytics** page in UpPromote!

This new version has the following changes:

* Interface update to be more intuitive and user-friendly.
* Added new metrics to better evaluate business performance and support merchants in decision-making: **CR**, **AOV**, **CPC**, **ROI**, **CAC**&#x20;
* Display top 5 affiliates and top 5 products by sales to keep Analytics focused on important information. Merchants can view full data by clicking **View details** to open **Affiliate analytics** and **Product analytics**.

### Auto-discount for Third-party stores

Auto-discount is now available on third-party storefronts (e.g., WordPress, headless, Hydrogen) - not just Shopify themes. You can create fresh Auto-discount rules (up to **5 per program**) that auto-apply at Shopify checkout when customers come via affiliate links.

### **Introducing Anti-leak discount; Auto-discount expanded to 5 rules**

<mark style="color:$info;">Sep 22, 2025</mark>

Worried about leaked coupons hurting your margins? We’ve got you.

The new **Anti-leak discount** feature applies discounts automatically at checkout when customers arrive via affiliate links. Because it injects the discounts directly, no coupon code is created in Shopify Discounts. ***No coupon - no leak**.*&#x20;

Anti-leak is a new option within Auto-discount. Therefore, we’ve also expanded **Auto-discount** to support **up to 5 rules per program**, giving you flexibility to create a dedicated rule for affiliates affected by leaks while other affiliates continue using their affiliate coupon or defined coupon to promote.

To set up Anti-leak discount, please go to **Programs** > click on a program's name to open the **Edit program** page > scroll down to find the **Auto-discount** section > click **Set up/Manage**.

### Export MLM network list

<mark style="color:$info;">Sep 03, 2025</mark>

Due to the limited number of entries in the Network list table, affiliate networks with large downlines may not be fully visible. To address this, we've introduced a new function that lets you export the entire MLM network list. This allows you to gain a comprehensive view of the whole network, making it easier to manage.

To export it, simply go to **Outreach** > **Multi-level Marketing** > **See MLM tree** > click **Export all**.&#x20;

### Email notifications for in-app chat with affiliates

<mark style="color:$info;">Aug 28, 2025</mark>

You can now receive email notifications when you're offline from chat and an affiliate messages you. This feature ensures you're notified of incoming chat messages so you can respond to affiliates promptly.

Similarly, the system will send an email to affiliates if you send a message and they're offline.

To turn it on, go to **UpPromote** > **Outreach** > **Chat with affiliates** > **Chat settings** > enable **Email notifications**.

### Auto-payout with Store Credit

### New tracking method - Web Pixel for Third-party stores

To improve accuracy and align with Shopify’s latest requirements, we’ve introduced **Web Pixel** as the new method for tracking affiliate referrals on third-party stores. This upgrade replaces the previous **ScriptTag** tracking method.

As part of this change, ScriptTag will soon be deprecated and removed. To avoid any disruption in tracking, we recommend all third-party merchants update the code to Web Pixel as soon as possible.

**How to update your tracking code:**

* Go to **Settings > Integration > Third-party tracking**, then click **View guide** to access the new Web Pixel code.
* You can follow the instructions in-app to set up or refer to this [detailed guide](https://docs.uppromote.com/settings/integrations/others?utm_source=changelog\&utm_medium=click\&utm_campaign=3rd-party-tracking#third-party-tracking-integration) for step-by-step support.

### Updates to Payment tab and Store credit payments

In your Merchant portal, the **PayPal payment** tab is now called **In-app payment**. This tab now includes payouts for two payment methods:

* **PayPal** (if you've integrated with PayPal)
* **Store credit**

### Action required: UpPromote essentials app embed

May 29, 2025

To comply with Shopify’s [latest requirement for affiliate apps](https://shopify.dev/docs/apps/launch/built-for-shopify/requirements#use-web-pixels-for-affiliate-program-apps) and improve tracking accuracy, UpPromote is switching to a new tracking technology called **Web Pixel**.&#x20;

To enable Web Pixel tracking on your store, you need to activate the **UpPromote essentials app embed**. This replaces the current ScriptTag method, which will be removed on **June 23, 2025**.

### What you need to know

* The current **ScriptTag** tracking method will no longer be supported in UpPromote after June 23, 2025.
* You **must enable UpPromote essentials app embeds** to run Web Pixel tracking on your store and ensure accurate affiliate referral tracking.
* Failure to enable UpPromote essentials before June 23, 2025 may result in **missing referral data**. UpPromote cannot be held responsible for referrals missed due to this.
* Web Pixel offers more reliable and seamless tracking integration compared to the previous method.

### How to enable UpPromote essentials app embed

1. Log in to your Shopify Admin dashboard.
2. Navigate to **Online Store > Themes**.
3. Click **Customize** on your current live theme.
4. In the theme editor, click on **App embeds** (usually located under the **Theme settings**).
5. Find **UpPromote essentials** in the list of app embeds.
6. Toggle the switch to **enable** it.
7. Click **Save** in the theme editor to apply the changes.

#### 1. Settings layout change

* The Settings **menu** has been reorganized into **horizontal tabs** for more intuitive navigation. Some features are also relocated between Settings tabs.&#x20;
* **Product analytics settings** are now located on the **Analytics** page.

### **New referral displays, customer Journey and program rules release**

We’re excited to announce the release of several new features in UpPromote!

The updated [**Referral List & Details**](https://docs.uppromote.com/management/referrals/referral-list-and-details) now provide a more detailed view of commission calculations, giving you full transparency into how commissions are earned.&#x20;

Additionally, the new [**Customer Journey**](https://docs.uppromote.com/management/referrals/customer-journey) feature lets you track the path your customers take, from browsing your store to the referral order, including the channels they were referred from. These updates will help you gain deeper insights into your affiliate program performance.

We’ve also revamped [**Program Rules**](https://docs.uppromote.com/management/programs/program-settings/commission-calculation-settings) to give you more control over exclusions. You can now choose to exclude **shipping**, **taxes** (product and shipping tax), or **tip** when calculating referral commissions. These updates will help you fine-tune your affiliate program and better manage commission settings.

We’re thrilled to announce that the **embedded version** of UpPromote is officially released on Shopify. You can now open and use UpPromote directly from your Shopify admin and enjoy a seamless experience using the app.

In this update, we have improved the Onboarding process and Home page. Specifically, the **Onboarding** process has been shortened and focuses more on your primary role as a merchant in an Affiliate Marketing campaign.&#x20;

If you want to make a copy of the exact same settings of one program, we now have the option to duplicate the program so you won’t have to manually set everything up from scratch. This feature is available from the Growth plan onwards.&#x20;

Kindly note that it will only help duplicate **program settings** and its **registration form**. **Special product commission** will not be transferred over.
