# Allow affiliates to customize their own link

As a merchant, you can create custom links for your affiliates. However, in case you want your affiliates to freely customize their own link, UpPromote can totally help.

First, go to **Settings** > **Link & coupon** > **Custom affiliate link**, then enable **Allow affiliates to edit Custom link**.

Once this feature is activated, your affiliates can add or edit (if there's already a custom link for them) their own custom links via their affiliate account's **Dashboard.**

Affiliates can also remove the custom link they have created by clicking **Edit custom link**, leaving the box blank and saving changes**.**

{% hint style="info" %}
If the custom link already exists in your Shopify Navigation > View URL Redirects, then the affiliates will not be able create the link with the same custom path.
{% endhint %}
