# Pricing FAQs

## 1. Why should I upgrade to a higher plan?

In the Free plan, basic features are available for you to try out the app. That helps you to have a clear understanding of the affiliate marketing system.

However, for those serious about applying Affiliate marketing as an effective model and wishing to earn sales from the system, a higher plan is a **MUST.**&#x20;

Here are some **TOP** benefits when upgrading to a paid plan:

* Provide **better** **resources** for affiliates to promote your shop (like Custom affiliate links, Auto-discount, unlimited Media space, Multiple coupons, Product analytics, etc.)&#x20;
* Have a **more** **professional** affiliate program with premium features (like Multiple programs, Auto-generate coupon, Auto-payout with PayPal, etc.)
* **Expand affiliate network** (through Customer referrals, Post-purchase popup, Multi-level marketing, etc.)
* Get more options to motivate your affiliates (like Lifetime commission, Gifts, Bonuses, etc.)

Our **Growth**, **Professional,** and **Enterprise** plan provides advanced features that any professional affiliate marketing campaign needs. Upgrading means you would have more powerful options to run a proper affiliate campaign with our most dedicated support.

## 2. What is the billing rule?

Payments will be made monthly. Anytime you want to stop your premium subscription, you can downgrade to a Free plan (Pricing > Free > Downgrade), and your monthly billing will be discontinued.

## 3. Do I have 14 trial days?

Yes, the 14-day trial starts when you first click Approve Charge in the app. During this time, you can explore all the app's advanced features, and of course, you can downgrade to the Free plan anytime if you don't feel like needing it.

After 14 trial days, you will get charged for the selected plan.

## 4. How is the performance fee calculated?

The performance fee is calculated by **multiplying the total sales amount of approved referral by the rate applied**. Only approved referral sales contribute to the performance fee calculation, ensuring the fee is based on actual successful transactions.

## 5. Is there any other extra fee?

All pricing details are listed [here](https://uppromote.com/pricing?utm_source=FAQ-doc\&utm_medium=click\&utm_campaign=pricing-plan), there would be no extra charge for anything else. Our support is lifetime free, and you can reach us anytime for help at **<support@uppromote.com>**

## 6. In Creator Discovery, what counts as a report view?

A report view is used each time you open an Creator's full profile to see their detailed analytics — including follower stats, engagement rate, audience demographics, and collaboration history. Simply searching or browsing the Creator list does not count as a view.

## 7. Do unused report views for Creator Discovery carry over to the next cycle?

No. Report views reset to 0 at the start of every new 30-day cycle. Any unused views from the previous cycle will not roll over.

## 8. What happens if I view the same profile more than once in Creator Discovery?

It depends on when you view it. If you view the same profile within 30 days of your first visit, the cached data will be displayed and no report view will be deducted. If it has been more than 30 days since your last visit, 1 report view will be deducted and the system will fetch the latest data from scratch.

## 9. What happens if I upgrade, downgrade, or cancel my plan while subscribing to Creator Discovery?

Upgrade / Downgrade: Your current plan will be cancelled immediately, your report views will reset to 0, and a new 30-day billing cycle will start from the date of the change.

For example, if you switch plans on Jan 15, your new cycle runs from Jan 15 to Feb 14 with the new plan's view limit - regardless of how many views you had used before switching.

Cancel / Uninstall: You will lose access to Creator Discovery immediately. If you reinstall the app, you will need to subscribe again from scratch - your previous view history and billing cycle will not be restored.

**Notes**: If you cancel Creator Discovery mid-cycle, the fee for that cycle has already been charged and will not be reversed.

For example, if you subscribe to Discovery Starter and cancel after just one hour, the full $39 will still be charged for that cycle. We recommend considering your needs carefully before canceling.

## 10. Why does Shopify ask me to approve a subscription when I subscribe to Creator Discovery?

Creator Discovery isn't a separate app — its fee ($39 for Starter, $79 for Pro) is billed **as a usage charge** on top of your current UpPromote plan. For Shopify to apply that charge, your subscription needs usage billing enabled. If it isn't yet, Shopify asks you to approve it once. What you see on the approval screen depends on your current plan:

1. If you're on a **paid plan** (e.g. Professional, Enterprise):\
   Shopify re-creates your current plan at the same price so it can attach the usage charge. On the approval screen you'll see:

* your current plan price (e.g. $139.99) as the subtotal
* the label "Replaces previous subscription"
* a 1-day free trial

This is not a new charge — your plan is simply re-created at the same price, so you're never billed twice. After you approve, the Creator Discovery fee is added as a separate usage charge.<br>

2. If you're on the **Free plan**:\
   You'll approve usage billing so the fee can be charged (you may need to add a payment method first). On the approval screen you'll see:

* Plan: Free— no plan fee, your app plan stays free
* An app spending limit— a safety cap on usage charges per 30 days, not a charge itself
* $79 (or $39) for Creator Discovery— your only charge

Your Creator Discovery fee is billed as usage and appears on your next monthly invoice, not today.
