MooseDesk integration

The MooseDesk integration feature allows you to provide seamless support to your affiliates by integrating MooseDesk's powerful chat and ticketing system directly within UpPromote. This integration allows affiliates to easily reach out to merchants via live chat or by submitting support tickets. Merchants can then manage all communication directly through the MooseDesk app.

What you will get from MooseDesk integration:

  • Real-time communication: Engage with affiliates instantly via live chat or ticket submission.

  • Centralized support management: Manage all affiliate support tickets and live chats through the MooseDesk app, eliminating the need for third-party chat tools.

  • Improved efficiency: Reduce response times and enhance the affiliate experience by managing chats and tickets in one place.

  • Affiliate satisfaction: Provide quick, direct support to affiliates, improving overall satisfaction and collaboration.

How to set up MooseDesk integration?

  1. Step 1: Install MooseDesk Live Chat

In order to use MooseDesk integration, you'll need to install MooseDesk on your store first. Install it .

  1. Step 2: Enable MooseDesk Live Chat integration

Log in to your UpPromote account and navigate to Settings > Integration > scroll down until you find MooseDesk live chat > enable it.

After activating MooseDesk successfully, the MooseDesk widget will appear on affiliate accounts for them to reach out to you more easily.

Note: If you are using other chat features like In-app chat with affiliates or a third-party chat plugin, enabling MooseDesk live chat will automatically deactivate the other chat tool to ensure seamless communication.

How to use MooseDesk?

Managing chats and tickets in MooseDesk: After activating the integration, you will be able to manage all chats and support tickets directly within the MooseDesk app.

  • Live chat: When an affiliate starts a live chat, you will receive a notification in MooseDesk. You can respond to the chat in real-time from the MooseDesk chat inbox. You may not start a new chat conversation with affiliates via MooseDesk; instead, create a new ticket.

  • Ticket management: Affiliates may submit support tickets through the MooseDesk widget. These tickets will be visible in the MooseDesk app, where you can view, reply to, and track their progress. You can also create new tickets to send emails to your affiliates via MooseDesk.

Viewing communication history:

  • All chats and ticket interactions are logged within MooseDesk. You can access the full communication history to review past conversations or follow up on ongoing issues.

  • You can filter all UpPromote chats and tickets by clicking on the UpPromote Affiliate channel on the Inbox page or using the Source filter on the Conversation page > select "UpPromote Affiliate".

Widget visibility:

  • The MooseDesk chat widget will be displayed across all affiliate accounts, allowing affiliates to reach out to you easily whenever they need support, even when they've just registered and haven't been accepted to your program yet.

  • Note: The chat widget displayed on the UpPromote affiliate account will only have options to send tickets, start a chat, or contact via WhatsApp (if set up). The option to track orders and FAQs will be hidden.

Deactivating the integration:

  • If you no longer wish to use the integration, you can disable it by going back to the Integrations page in UpPromote and toggling the MooseDesk integration off. Please note that this will stop the affiliate chat widget from displaying, but the existing tickets and chats will remain in MooseDesk.

Chat plugin integration

UpPromote: Affiliate supports Chat plugins that provide the script code for integration. Some examples are Tawk.to, Tidio chat, Chata live chat, and Crisp chat.

To integrate with a chat plugin, follow the steps below:

1. Access your chat plugin account and get the script code.

2. Go to the app > Settings > Integration > turn on Chat plugin.

3. Click Setup. Paste the script code into the Setup chat plugin popup in our app:

After integrating, you can chat and manage conversations with your affiliates through the chat plugin account.
