Impact on changing Shopify store currency
If you’ve encountered currency differences in the past, we are now implementing a solution to handle these issues. This process ensures affiliates receive accurate payouts and maintains the integrity of your payment records.
In case you have changed your store currency in Shopify, the Payouts feature (including Manual Payouts, PayPal Payouts, and Auto-payout with PayPal) will be temporarily disabled until you confirm the conversion of old referrals from the previous currency to the new currency.
Please note that Referrals will still be tracked as usual despite blocked Payouts.
Impact on Features
1. Payouts page (Manual payouts and PayPal payouts)
Status: Disabled until currency conversion is confirmed and completed.
Impact:
You cannot view data or process payments on the Payouts page.
The system will recalculate all sales and commissions in the new currency after the conversion.
Once recalculated, the Payouts page will return to active status, allowing normal payment processing.
2. Auto-payout with PayPal
Status: Paused and settings deactivated
Impact:
No automatic payments will be processed or sent to affiliates on the scheduled date.
No notification emails (e.g., the 12-hour notice before the next payment date) will be sent.
You will not be able to enable the Auto-payout with PayPal feature during this period as the Schedule auto-payment settings will remain deactivated.
After confirming the conversion, the settings will be re-enabled. You will need to set up Auto-payout with PayPal again from scratch.
Steps for Currency conversion
Contact support:
Use the Contact Us button on banners or in-app live chat to contact our support for confirming currency conversion.
Confirm conversion:
Our support team will guide you through the confirmation process.
System update:
The system will convert old referrals to the new currency and recalculate all related data. That means all sales and commissions data will be updated to reflect the new currency.
Feature reactivation:
Once the process is complete, the Payouts page will return to active status, allowing merchants to process payments.
Auto-payout with PayPal will be re-enabled and you'll have to set it up again to continue scheduling payments.
